Docol HE is a new range of hot-rolled advanced high-strength steels with greatly improved edge ductility for automotive manufacturers facing production technology challenges. The advantages of Docol HE include improved edge ductility, local formability, and substantial increases in shear edge quality and hole expansion ratio. This reduces scrap, increases cost-efficiency, and enables the development of new and innovative components that take full advantage of the properties of steel. Various chassis components, consoles, seats, as well as driveline parts, clutches are the common automotive parts suitable for Docol 355 high edge ductile steel. Compared with the traditional HSLA grade, this new production method has improved the quality of cutting edges, and the steel can well adapt to the requirements of mold adjustment and wear resistance, so it is suitable for precision blanking.
