Docol HE is a new range of hot-rolled advanced high-strength steels with greatly improved edge ductility for automotive manufacturers facing production technology challenges. It has a variety of advantages including improved edge ductility, local formability, and substantial increases in shear edge quality and hole expansion ratio. Docol 420 high edge ductile steel is produced using a new and tightly controlled method. It has a very fine gold phase structure and is an extremely pure steel that greatly improves local formability while still maintaining good overall formability.
It is suitable for stamping most geometric shapes and performs well in applications where trimming quality affects forming feasibility. Lastly, the steel can well adapt to the requirements of mold adjustment and wear resistance, so it is suitable for precision blanking.
